Jacob Keys: Brandon High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic frame; C/3B. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Starts in balanced stance with a wrapping load, then uses a short stride to initiate his swing. Displays an upward swing plane, as well as quick bat speed and a high finish. He displayed a plus arm with strong throw downs to second that hit 80 mph; his exchange was twitchy and his footwork was quick. With a pop time of 1.89-2.01, he showed off his foot1.89-2.01 feet and his ability to control the run game from behind the plate; Used a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.1.
