2/10/18 - Bastunas is an athletically built 5-foot-10 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.27 60 and has an 88 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and open stance, controlled leg lift, hands separate from stride, loose and quick bat speed, slight natural lift to pat path, hands works inside ball, short to contact, gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, 90 mph positional velocity, over the top release, works behind the ball and through the catch, transfer is on time with quick and athletic footwork, throws are accurate with carry.
6/20/17 - Bastunas is a 5-foot-9 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.57 60 and a 4.78 home to first.  He has an 89 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts slightly open, controlled leg kick, aggressive swing speed, leverage in lower half, showed pull side power during batting practice.  On the infield, 87 mph positional velo, quick arm, over the top release, moves well side to side, fields ball in athletic position, quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws, athletic actions.
1/31/16 - Bastunas will be a 2019 grad from Timberland HS and is a right-handed pitcher. Bastunas’ short but athletic build consists of being 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds. His delivery includes a high leg kick, good direction and is repeatable with some effort. Bastunas showed very good command of all pitches as he threw a high percentage of strikes. Fastball was located to both sides of the plate ranging from79-82. The changeup showed good depth and action between 66-70 mph.  When thrown aggressively, the curveball exhibited downward action and a 11-to-5 break.He ran a 4.74 60 and has an 81 mph exit velo.  At the plate, balanced set up, loads in lower half, aggressive swing, quick hands, level path, stays on ball, gap-to-gap approach, high percentage of line drives during batting practice. On the infield, quick feet, high three quarters release, 76 mph positional velo, arm works, quick catch and throw, projectable build with athletic actions.
