At the plate, balanced set up, pre-pitch rhythm in hands, in line stride, no waisted movement, body stays under control, hands works inside the ball, middle to opposite field line drives. On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, over the top release, fluid footwork to the ball with clean exchange, gains ground with feet after the catch.

2/18/18 - Allen is a 6-foot 162-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.27 home to first and has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and balanced set up, minimal load with no wasted movement, in line stride, attacks the ball, gap to gap line drives with level bat path on one hand finish.  On the infield, 70 mph positional velo at first base, high three quarters release, fields ball in front of feet in athletic position, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws. On the mound,  Allen comes from a high three quarters arm slot, slight coil at balance point, body stays under control, in line stride with repeatable and simple mechanics, fastball worked 72-74 mph, has slight run, curveball at 63-66, some with sharp 2-to-8 action, change up at 68-70 mph, occasional running action.
