Schark is a strong 5-foot-4 220-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.91 home to first and had a 94 mph positional velocity. At the plate, starts slightly loaded on back side, attacks ball with minimal load and quiet hands, quick and loose bat speed, level plane, consistent hard contact to all field, power to pull gap, feel for the barrel. On the infield, athletic actions, loose high three quarters arm slot, clean transfers on time with footwork, accurate throws, 78 mph positional velocity.
8/4/18 - Schark showed off his power potential in batting practice, checking in at 6-foot-4 225-pounds, he has the threat to go deep on any pitch. Although there is some length to the swing, Schark drove ball to pull side gap consistently with a flat and fast bat plane. He had a 96 mph exit velo and turned in a 7.36 60 time. Defensively, Scharks moves well for his size and showed soft hands when fielding the ball, he make a clean transfer and throws from an over the top arm slot at 78 mph.
6/26/18 - 6-foot-4, 220-pound, strong right handed hitting infielder. Offensively, balanced setup, quiet hands, short to baseball, short stride, remains balanced throughout. Fast bat speed, exit velocity of 94-mph off tee, level barrel path, line drive approach with power, fluid rhythm throughout. Defensively, first step anticipation, clean exchange, throws 73-mph across infield. Long arm action, ¾ slot, accuracy on throws. Ran 7.42 in the 60.
