8/4/18 - Miller is a long and lean 6-foot-2 190-pound right-handed hitting third baseman. He has an 88 mph positional velo, ball comes out of the easy with carry and accuracy to first base. Miller has smooth actions at third base with a clean exchange and a short over the top release. He ran a 7.15 50 and has a 90 mph exit velo. His swing produced mostly pull side line drives, flashing power. His build and athleticism make it easy for coaches to dream about what Miller will become down the road. On the mound, closed game one striking out two in the last two innings of work. He pitched with a fastball-curveball mix. Fastball had some late life with two-seam action at mostly 85-86 mph, touching 87 mph. Miller threw his breaking ball for a strike at 70-72 mph. He has a lean streamlined frame with quick arm speed that will translate to more velo down the road and will add to already good command.
2/19/18 - Miller is a well built and strong 6-foot-2 195-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.44 home to first and has a 95 mph exit velocity. At the plate, simple and repeatable with explosive swing, smooth rhythm with balanced stance, in line stride with fast bat speed, hands generate bat whip though the hitting zone to extension, uses lower half for leverage and power, advanced approach to middle and opposite field with power to the pull gap. On the infield, 84 mph positional velocity, athletic actions, quick catch and throw, long arm circle with momentum in feet, aggressive with feet, works through the ball, throws have carry. On the mound, Miller has an athletic delivery, controlled to balance point, accelerates with some effort down the mound, aggressive and in line, loose and quick arm action, shows command of three pitches, fastball at 82-85 mph, late run at times, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, flashes depth with late and sharp break, change up at 72-75 mph, some with arm side run, looks to be a top two-way athletes in his class.
