2/17/17 - Herrman is a 5-foot-9 160-pound switch-hitting outfielder, shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 4.35 home to first and has a 90 mph exit velo. At the plate, takes an aggressive swing, hands work inside the ball, middle to opposite field line drives, fluid pre-swing rhythm, short in line stride from balanced set up.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, short over the top arm action, quick catch and throw, accurate throws. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick to the ball with feet, quick transfer with momentum through the catch, accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Herrman comes from a high three quarters arm slot, smooth rhythm in delivery, hands raise with leg lift, 79-81 mph fastball, curveball has 11-to-5 shape, some flashing depth, change up at 72 mph, sinking action, throws for strike.
6/14/16 - Herrman is a 5-foot-9 160-pound switch hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 6.96 60, one of the fastest times for the event, and a 5.01 home-to-first.  His exit velo was 86 mph, one of the top RHH velos for the event.  At the plate, athletic stance, controlled load into back side, pull side contact during batting practice, quick bat speed, feel for the barrel, singled to the right side in game action, line out to third. Behind the plate, pop times between 2.03 and 2.27-seconds, 72 mph positional velo, over the the top release, quick feet with fluid exchange, catches ball well, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick exchange, momentum towards first to throw, accurate throws.
1/18/16 - Herrman is a 5-foot-9 150-pound switch-hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  Herrman runs a 4.35 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 87 mph from the right side, one of the best among RHH, and 82 from the left side. With the bat,  similar stance and set up from both sides, aggressive swing, level though the zone, quick hands, quick bat speed, slightly more uphill on left side, advanced hitting approach.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, quick feet with clean exchange, over the top release, accurate throws.  Herrmann is a player to follow in the 2019 class.
