Frost

With plenty of athleticism and speed as his top tool, Frost blazed his way to a 6.61 sixty, good for third overall at the MWSA Showcase at the Urban Youth Academy in Kansas City, MO. He's also able to use that speed in the outfield, covering gap-to-gap defensively. Although his speed profiles well to the big field, additional arm strength will be needed to keep opponents from running 1st to 3rd. With unorthodox arm action, Frost showed 30-grade arm strength with below average accuracy over the course of the showcase. At the plate the left-handed hitter setup with a wide base and a quiet load. Showed a compact swing with good bat speed, but there is some stiffness and, at times, too much shoulder in his swing. Was tardy to the fastball and struggled with the breaker during his at-bats in game action, but earlier in the day he did show fringe average raw power to his pull side. (Seifert)
