Delivery is smooth, fluid actions, shows good body control, quick arm action, over the top release, controlled leg lift, athletic finish. Fastball is 77-79 mph, thrown for strikes, some arm side run, showed command of arm side, changeup is 72-73 mph, some sinking action, near fastball arm speed, curveball is 70-71 mph, thrown for strikes, 2-to-8 shape, sharp bite, near fastball arm speed.

2/14/18 - Gross is a 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 20202 class.  He ran a 4.59 home to first and has an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, thin and slightly open stance, some hand load with short stride, hands control the barrel, loose hands with feel for the barrel, mostly middle to pull side contact.  In the outfield, throws left, smooth actions with clean transfer, 76 mph positional velocity, over the top arm slot, athletic actions with athletic frame. On the mound, Gross has an over the top arm slot, throws with regular effort, repeats a simple delivery, fastball at 76-79 mph, curveball has late and gradual 1-to-7 action, throws for a strike, change up with slight arm side sink, at 67-73 mph, near fast arm speed, slender frame with quick arm would suggest velo and command increases down the round.
