Positional Profile: C
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Athletic and proportional build with room for added strength in the future.
Hit: RHH. Starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture with hands getting set quietly into position at shoulder height. Short rocking rhythm into the lower half. Simple stride to a wider base with lower half drifting forward into a firm front leg. Hands work quickly through the zone and shows very good overall bat speed. Matches plane with the pitch efficiently with a level bat path and line drive approach. Works the hands to the inside part of the ball and maintains balance throughout the swing. Shows good strength at contact.
Power: 94.1 max exit velocity, averaged 77.5 mph. 293’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 79 mph. High 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action.
Defense: Receives the ball with one knee in the dirt and a feel for pitch framing and strong wrists. Quick feet working out of the crouch with good momentum headed towards the target. Throws had good carry and accuracy to the bag. Strong blocking technique with good posture and hip flexibility.
Run: 7.07 runner in the 60.

Hit: RHH. Balanced, open stance. Leg-lift load with big stride into slightly downhill swing path. Generates some backspin with line-drives to his mid/pull side. Occasionally finishes on front side.

Arm: RH. C - 73 mph. Short arm action, high-¾ release.
Defense: Quiet set up behind the plate, adequate receiving and blocking ability. Clean exchanges and fluid footwork.
Run: 7.34 runner in the 60.
Anselmo is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher third baseman in Missouri’s 2024 class. He ran a 4.69 home to first and had an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, minimal load and hand movement, toe tap to in line stride, loose hand with quick bat speed, showed the ability to hit to both gaps, simple and repeatable. Behind the plate, balanced set up, clean transfer and throw, fluid footwork, over the top arm slot, 72 mph positional velocity.
