Prost is a strong bodied, switch hitting catcher who has a good base behind the plate with the ability to stick balls in all parts of the zone. During bullpen sessions, the 6-foot-1.215-pound Prost showed above average blocking ability and the confidence needed to be an upper level catcher. He has good footwork and fired a top pop time of 2.04. Offensively, from the right side of the plate, Prost keeps his hands inside the ball with a level swing and extension through contact. From the left side of the plate, he shows some power with backspin carry and loft to the right side.
Future Prospect Showcase: Prost is a strong bodied 6-foot-1, 215-pound switch hitting catcher. From the right side, Prost showed loose hands and produced barrel whip through the zone driving the ball with back spin carry. From the left side of the plate, Prost kept his hands inside the ball and consistently hit to the right side of the field. Behind the plate, Prost is balanced and showed advanced blocking ability. He showed good footwork and a quick glove to hand transfer, posting a top pop time of 2.12 at 74 mph to second base.
