Daniel Flier: OF/RHP, (2022) CBC, MO. 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride to start his swing. Bat speed was above average, displayed flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 84 mph; had a clean exchange, athletic footwork and sure hands. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.14 at the event.

Flier is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2022 class. At the event, he ran a 7.35 second 60 and posted an exit velocity of 88 mph. During batting practice, Flier has an athletic frame with room to grow, relaxed and balanced set up, quiet hands with load, in line stride, quick hands, controls the barrel, mostly hard pull side with some contact to the opposite field gap. Defensively, fluid actions, momentum towards target, clean arm action, high three-quarter release, 82 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Flier has a frame that projects, works at a slower tempo, controlled leg lift, accelerates down the mound, repeats with regular effort, downhill loose arm action, high three-quarter slot. Fastball is 79-84 mph, run, thrown for strikes, curveball is 71-75 mph, late action, 11-to-5 shape, around the zone, showed some feel for his changeup, 74-76 mph, arm side run.
9/23/18 - Flier is an athletic built 6-foot 175-pound left handed hitting outfielder and catcher in the 2022 Missouri class. Flier runs a 7.64 60 and a 4.66 home to first. At the plate, Flier has an open and upright set up bringing his front side slighty closed, has good rhythm with his hands as a timing mechanism to get into a good power position and attacks the baseball at an exit velocity of 82 mph. He has a pull side approach and gets good extension. From the outfield, Flier has an over the top arm angle and gets his velocity up to 75 mph, stops his momentum coming through the ball so there is potential for higher velocity with improved footwork.
