8/9/15 - Lanpher is a 6-foot-1 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher.  Lanpher ran a 7.44 60 with an 86 mph exit velo. Athletic stance at the plate, smooth load, level path to extension, hit balls with back spin, strong hands, power to pull gap.  During defensive evals, 75 mph positional velo, short over the top release, plays through the ball, clean exchange, hands and feet work together, accurate to first base. On the mound, Lanpher throws with easy effort, fluid rhythm with an over the top release.  He works quick on the mound between pitches, throwing a high percentage of strikes with three pitches.  Fastball 84 mph max, working  mostly at 82-83.  12-to-6 breaking ball, sharp movement, 67-69 mph, down in zone.  Change up at 75 mph, near fastball arm speed, arm side sink.
6/9/15 - Lanpher is a 6-foot-1 195-pound 3B.  At the plate, 88 mph exit velo, 7.44 60,  fast bat speed, simple load, linear move to ball, level to extension, strong hands, consistent solid contact during batting practice, doubled to deep left field in game action., ran 4.62 home-to-first. Defensively, 79 mph positional velo,, over-the-top release, quick footwork, clean exchanges, plays through ball, accurate throws, athletic actions. On the mound, Lanpher touched 87 mph with his fastball, one of the top of the event and sat 84-86 mph for most of the outing.  He has an over-the-top release with downhill tilt, some with 2-seam running action.  His curveball has tight spin and late action at 68-71 mph, 12-to-6 shape. He throws with regular effort and a small bounce at the top of leg lift, lands in line with quick arm speed.  Throws strikes with both pitches.
