Nickel has a controlled an calm delivery, over the top release, in line stride down the mound, simple and repeatable, fastball worked 75-79 mph, down in zone, throws change up to both sides of the plate for strikes, some with arm side release, 68-71 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, 62-65 mph.

2/14/16 - Nickel is a slender 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed pitcher from Liberty HS in Wentzville, MO. Class of 2019. Works to a tall balance point, three-quarters arm slot. Fastball 76-80 mph, works down. Feel for breaking ball with 11/5 shape, 65-67 mph, at times sharp. Change-up 72-74 mph. Projectable class of 2019 right-hander.

1/31/16 - Nickel is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 8.07 60 and has an exit velo of 72 mph. At the plate, starts in a balanced stance, no load, mostly pull side line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, athletic actions, over the top release, quick catch and throw with momentum, mostly accurate throws at 80 mph, one of the top outfield velos for the event.
