9/1/15- 84-87 mph in the 1st; settling in at 81-83- occasionally touching 85 mph. Pitching mostly off his fastball; Stroh showed a 67-68 mph curveball and a 74-77 mph changeup with avg. fade.
6/16/15- MN Top Prospect
6-foot-3, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Stroh has begun to fill out physically. Projectable frame that will continue to add strength. Long clean extended arm action. Up tempo delivery. Solid extension to plate with good direction. Ball jumps out of hand. Showed above average command of fastball at 84-87 mph. Slurve is thrown with good arm speed; 10/4 shape with late sweeping break at 71-73 mph. Above feel for changeup. Stroh’s performance will push him up in the MN 2016 rankings once revised.
2/28/15- MN Preseason All-State
6-foot-3, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Lean athletic body with long limbs. Stroh continues to make strides on the mound. Easy effort in balanced delivery producing fastballs in the 81-83 mph range. Fastball shows late run and has ability to command to both sides of plate. Good fade on change at 71-72 mph. Curveball was more loose than previous outing in October; but thrown for strikes consistently. Once he consistently throws breaking ball with more conviction; Stroh will start to turn heads even more. Strong Follow going into Spring/Summer who should continue to mature physically and has considerable projection.
October 2014
6-foot-2, 150-pound right-handed pitcher. Projectable pitchers body with longer legs and wide shoulders. Room to mature physically. Arm is clean. Loose arm action- ball jumps on hitter. ¾ arm slot. Good rhythm and sequence with hands and lower half. Travels across rubber in wind-up causing delivery to be across body and closed. Limits some hip explosion and extension to plate. Fastball shows late sink to both sides of plate at 81-82 mph. Throws breaking ball with 10/4 shape and power action. Pitch has hard late break in zone. Quality feel for changeup with late arm-side fade. Ability to show in zone and take away from hitter. At times will be on side of breaking balls causing flat spin. Overall very projectable right-handed pitcher. Shows ability to throw strikes. Arm is loose and fastball has life. High Follow for 2016 class.
