Fielding: In the infield moved light on his feet ranging well towards his glove side. Has soft hands and a quick first step. Showed a strong throwing arm topping 87 mph across the diamond.
Hitting: A balanced approach at the plate keeping his hands back while swinging with an aggressive swing path. Gets his lower half into the swing well producing hard contact. Drove a ball up the middle during game play.
Logan McCoy: SS/RHP, (2021) H.H. Midland Dow, MI. 5-foot-8, 165-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power in the box with a strong exit velocity of 90 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was explosive, had uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 87 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet and a quick exchange. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.44 in the 60-yard dash.
Hitting: At the plate keeps his hands back in a strong loaded position, has a front leg lift and aggressive approach. Drove the ball consistently with authority. 91 mph exit velocity.
Fielding: Ranges well both to the back hand and glove hand side showing soft hands. Gets around the ball throwing aggressively across the diamond 84 mph.
Pitching: On the mound works at an upbeat tempo repeating his delivery each time throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fast arm action on the mound while displaying command. Late action on the fastball, sweeping action on the curve thrown down and away from a right hand hitter. Deceptive change up thrown with similar arm speed as the fastball .
5-foot-6, 115 pound prospect with a strong lower half. Smooth load and dives during the swing. Sprayed the ball during the his bp session. Well above average feel for position with good actions.
Hitting: At the plate sets up with an open stance showing a bat with some whip. Makes hard contact with a pull approach. Made some solid contact with a gap to gap approach.
Pitching: Works at an upbeat pace showing a fast arm from a 3/4 arm angle. Fills up the zone with strikes. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with a heavy feel. Sweeping action on the curve 69-70 mph. Showed a quick pick off to 1B picking off a runner with a slightly too big lead.
