Jackson Steensma: RHP/3B, (2022) Byron Center, MI. 6-foot-4, 240-pound. At the plate, the switch hitter had an exit velocity of 95 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a big leg kick. Bat speed is some, shows an uphill swing plane and a back foot finish. Through the round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 88 mph. Smooth on the mound, showing good arm speed he had a loose arm action and an over-the-top arm angle. Shows easy effort in his delivery. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands hard with a clean finish. Curveball (71-73 mph).Threw his fastball 85-86 mph and topped out at 87 mph; shows running action and arm side control. His changeup (77-79) shows sinking action and low in the zone control. His 10/4 slider showed late action and low in the zone control.
