Cal Rutherford: RHP/1B, (2024) Detroit Catholic Central, MI. 6-foot-3, 230-pound. (70.0 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 80 mph; showed consistent feet, consistent hands, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Clocked a time of 7.96 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a short arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Displays uphill shoulders with an athletic balance point. Lands square with a clean finish. (Max spin 1963; Avg 1777).
