Hitting: Sets up with a narrow open stance. Has a short cut with a top hand release. makes solid contact. Line drive approach.
Fielding: At SS has sure hands fielding from a narrow base. Works well through the ball, showing a quick arm. Glove to hand transfer is quick.
7/11/18 Hill is a max effort guy on the mound that uses all of his 6-foot, 110-pound frame to generate a Fastball ranging from 65-71 mph. His best secondary pitch was his Changeup that is thrown at 60-63 mph with good downward movement. His last offering was a 12/6 breaking ball that is slow and loopy at 60-61. Out of the stretch he showed jerkiness and command suffered as a result. Once mechanics are smoothed out, Hill will see better results on the mound. In the infield shows above average ability to move laterally. Creates his hop when fielding the ball out front before working into a high ¾ throwing slot. Should see added arm strength with increased physicality. A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Goes with a leg kick for timing showing a slight back load with hands. Swing has some natural loft with feel for finding the barrel. Quick bat with more strength than frame suggest. Doesn’t get cheated up there. Line drive hitter with sneaky pop. 60-yard dash: 7.3 Infield Velocity: 63 Exit Velocity: 72
