Body: 6-foot-5, 182-pound.
Ben Meathe: RHP/1B, (2022) Orchard Lake St. Mary's, MI. 6-foot-5, 177-pound. During batting practice, Meathe showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Setup includes tall stance and a short stride. Had level swing plane and had high finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Raw in the infield, displayed a velocity of 82 mph; showed firm hands, developing feet and a lengthy exchange. Fields the ball out front movements laterally were raw.Clocked a time of 7.59 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, used a long arm action and an over-the-top arm angle. tall-and-fall type pitcher. Showed tall balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands square with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 80-83 mph; showed sinking action and control in the zone. Showed command around the zone and tight action on his 11/5 curveball (66-67).
Hitting: Sets up with a closed stance keeping his hands in a loaded position. Makes hard contact produced a lot of line drives. Takes an inside out approach. During game play absolutely crushed a double over the left fielders head.
Pitching: On the mound works out the stretch drops his glove and leans back prior to delivering to the plate. Hides the ball well and throws from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball 77-79 was thrown for strikes. Curve has an 11/5 shape throwing 67-69 mph.
