Andrew Abler: RHP/1B, (2023) Novi, MI. 6-foot-1, 194-pound. Athletic projectable during batting practice, Abler had an exit velocity of 94 mph. (65.6 mph bat speed average). (20.0 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick. Had a level swing plane, explosive above average bat speed and level finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Advanced in the infield, his best throw was registered at 84 mph; has a developing exchange, developing feet, and developing hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a quick arm action with athletic slot while showing decent accuracy to the base. Athletic on the mound, showing above average electric arm speed he used an over-the-top arm angle with a consistent arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses max effort. Has an athletic balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 87-89 mph and topped out at 90 mph; had a heavy hard fastball that showed some action and command down in the zone. (Max spin 2051; Avg 1958). Throws a tight curveball (73-76) that shows gradual action and down in the zone command. (Max spin 2075; Avg 1978). Has plus action and down in the zone command on his changeup (79-83).

In the infield, displayed a velocity of 80 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Out front fielding mechanics. Recorded a time of 7.65 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, changeup (74-76 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 82-85 mph with a max of 86 mph; (Max spin 2213; Avg 2128).

Begins in an athletic stance with a slow load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is above average, shows an upward swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 85 mph; had soft hands, a clean exchange, and smooth footwork. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. Decent accuracy to the bases, used an-over-the-top slot and a long arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.72 at the event. Athletic on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used a ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows max effort. Showed athletic balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 83-85 mph with a max of 86 mph; shows very consistent command and some action with flat movement. Has glove side control and sinking action on his 10/4 curveball (69-70). He shows sinking action on his changeup (74-76).

Hit: (RHH) Started in an athletic stance with a slow load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. High finish, upward swing. Pull side approach. 

Power: 92 mph exit velocity, average 84.63 mph. 64.90 mph bat speed average. 17.67 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft hands, smooth footwork, clean exchange. Solid.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. 

Arm: 85 mph infield velocity. Long arm action, an-over-the-top slot, decent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.72 (60-yard).

Pitching: Athletic. Tall-and-fall delivery, max effort. ¾ arm angle, good arm speed, quick arm action. Athletic balance point, downhill shoulders, lands square, an athletic finish.

FB: T86. 83-85 mph. (Max spin 2013;  Avg 1917). Very consistent accuracy, some action, flat movement. 

CB: 69-70 mph. Glove side command, sinking action, 10/4 movement. 

CH: 74-76 mph. Sinking action.

Pitching: On the sets up in the middle of the rubber with his legs shoulder width apart. Uses a toe tap while moving towards his balance point sitting on his back leg showing a fast arm while throwing. 11/5 shape on his sharp breaking ball. Arm is live, has room for more velocity to come in the future.
