Oliver Genest: C/OF, (2022) Sanford, ME. 6-foot-1, 190-pound athletic mature frame. Projectable during batting practice, Genest had a max exit velocity of 91 mph. (72.26 mph bat speed average). (22.75 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a wrapping load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is above average, shows an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Behind the plate, he made strong throws to second and produced an efficient position velocity of 80 mph; had a clean transfer, developing athletic footwork, and sure consistent hands. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.90-1.94. Athletic setup. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.94.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Began in a balanced wide stance with a wrapping load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Aggressive approach.
Power: 91 mph exit velocity, average 85.23 mph. 72.26 mph bat speed average. 22.75 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (C) 1.90-1.94 pop times. Sure consistent hands, developing athletic footwork, clean exchange. Above average. Athletic setup.
Arm: 80 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
Speed: 6.94 (60-yard).
6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder. He ran a 6.97 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is solid as he moves athletically and shows a strong arm. The receiving is solid and he continues to soften the glove. He threw 78 mph from the behind the dish with a pop time of 2.06. He showed a solid approach to the ball at third, throwing 83 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 95 mph. The setup is wide in base and he shows a toe tap as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long and strong as he generates some serious bat speed. He has power potential.
