Christopher Morton: RHP/3B, (2022) out of Noble, ME. is a 5-foot-11, 210-pound two-way prospect. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 MPH. He begins in a tall, balanced stance with relaxed hands. A shifting of the weight to the back leg, a rotating of the shoulders and a short stride trigger a swing that takes a rotational path. Morton stays balanced throughout the swing and shows he can use the whole field. In the infield, Morton showed some arm strength with a velocity of 81 MPH on his throws across the diamond. As he worked through the ground balls, he showed he has soft hands, a clean exchange, and smooth feet. From the outfield, he was 83 MPH on his throws. During the defensive portion, he showed soft hands, a clean exchange, and smooth feet. He also recorded a 60 time of 7.5. On the mound, Morton showed a quick, high ¾ arm swing that produced a fastball that sits 85-86 MPH with late arm side run. The delivery is clean. He gets to a good balance point before separating and heading toward the plate. His shoulders stay square, allowing the stride foot to land in line with home plate. He finishes over his front leg, releasing the ball out in front. In addition to a lively fastball, Morton also featured a tight curveball (71-72 MPH) and a changeup (76-78 MPH) with late sink.
