MD Preseason All State
Long projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds. Swing showed promise hitting from the left side with a square athletic stance. Pronounced leg kick landing slightly closed. Hands load back into a strong position and front side firms on stride. Quick hands, slightly uphill path with a high finish, and the swing is pull-side dominant with some power potential. Exit velocity was 85 mph. Controlled footwork on approach in the infield. Clean exchange and a long arm action throwing from a three-quarter arm slot. Positional velocity was 78 mph. Home-1st time was 4.64. Mechanics had some rhythm and flow to them starting with a side step and hands gathered going overhead. Higher balance point and showed solid control of mechanics over the rubber. Down and out stride that lands on line with shoulders level moving down the mound. Average arm circle and showed above average arm speed throwing from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball was downhill at 81-82 and topped at 83 mph. Curveball sat at 63-68 and showed late 11/5 shape. Changeup had some arm side fade, but lacked arm speed at 65-68 mph.
