6/21/17 - MD Underclass Prospect Games
Projectable athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. Hits from an athletic set up at the plate. Smooth rock back load with leg kick to hitting position. Longer level swing path with uphill finish and bat speed. Drives gaps with pull side power potetial. Foundation that could grow into a strong power prospect. Exit velocity of 84 mph. Active feet in the infield with clean hands and exchange. Not much wasted movements. Shorter arm action from a three quarter slot. Showed ability to change arm angles. Throws had some carry at 80 mph.
2.19.17 - Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame. Hits from a slightly stakced back set up at the plate. Shorter rock back load with knee in to hitting position. Drifts with front side at times casting hands back and creating longer swing path. Shows quick hands with his path at the plate. Gap to gap type hitter. Hands worked well at times. Smooth actions in the field throwing from a three quarter slot. Works thru ball well with average carry on throws across diamond.
2.12.17 5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from an open stance with weight unbalanced on the back side. Rocks weight back-to-front, getting into his front side early and inhibiting his ability to incorporate his backside into his swing. Bat path can get long, but is flat through the zone and hands have a chance to work if he can iron out an armbar. Additional strength would help improve his ability to drive the baseball (79 mph exit velocity). Defensively, he exhibited good feet and posted 79 mph arm strength. In order to stay in the middle of the diamond long-term, would benefit from softening up his glovehand and improving foot speed (7.50 60-yard dash) and quickness.
10.11.15 - Projectable frame at 5-foot-8 125-pounds. Ran a 8.13 60-yard dash. Hits from an athletic setup small load with short stride. Level swing path with average bat speed and potential as he increases his strength. Nice lower half that gets a bit on his back foot. Good rhythm throughout the swing. Nice offensive foundation. Exit velocity of 75 mph. Has a short arm action throwing from a ¾ arm angle. Active feet and sound footwork. Sound hands and exchange. Fundamentally sound. Throws across diamond at 70 mph. Interesting foundation in the player and will be one to keep an eye on as he matures and develops.
