Maryland Preseason All-State Session II
Body: 5’9’’, 140 pounds. Lean, projectable frame. Hit: RHH. Balanced, slightly upright setup to start with present rhythm in the hands at the shoulder; utilized a leg lift stride to initiate a flat path into the hitting zone. Created some length at times with ability to get leveraged at the front of the plate; recorded a mainly pull-side approach during his batting practice round accruing a 57% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Power: 84 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Developing doubles power, mostly singles at the moment. Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Strong arm from a high-intent, high ¾ slot with good extension. Defense: Up tempo approach during defensive evals with adequate posture and a soft glove hand at the fielding window, funneled smoothly into the chest line with occasional range to his left; choppy footsteps early in the route, but overall control present. Run: 7.71 60-yard time.
Delivery: Quick delivery with a short side rocker into a medium leg lift with abbreviated hip coil. Hid the ball well before a connected drive down the mound into a noticeably stiff land leg. Mostly upright finish with lots of whip at release. Arm Action: RH. High ¾, whippy look with a fast arm. FB: T81 mph, 78-80 mph. Average spin rate of 1897 rpm. Played heavier down in the zone but also showed up at times; 25% zone rate. CB: 67-69 mph. Average spin rate of 2006 rpm. Better bite to it than depth showing late horizontal movement across the plate. CH: 71-73 mph. Good third pitch; fade to it (12+ inches of horizontal movement) while killing spin (1361 average rpms).

Body: 5’9”, 140 pounds. Athletic, lanky frame. Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, slightly crouched stance at the plate. Smooth back load with some hand separation and solid balance throughout. Hands drop slightly before contact with a more level swing path. Attacks the ball with intent with quick hands and some bat speed. Lower half involvement is present with a really nice middle of the field line drive approach. Finishes strong with two-hands. Power: 80 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot. Defense: Plays through the ball with active feet in the infield. Fields the ball out in front, funneling to the belt with a quick glove-tap into clean exchanges. Solid range side to side with the ability to throw from various arm slots. Throws showed accuracy and carry. Run: 4.63 Home to first base time.
Delivery: Bit of an up-tempo side-step wind-up into a compact balance position with a quarter body turn. Long, easy stride down the mound landing in-line with the plate. Gets great extension out over the front side and finishes with a full follow-through in an athletic position. Creates quick arm speed through release with some whip to it. Showed a really nice feel for all three pitches and ability to pound the zone. Arm Action: RH. Loose arm action and full arm circle. Throws from a high three-quarter slot with some intent. FB: T81 mph, 78-80 mph. Showed slight arm-side run at times with an average spin rate of 1975 rpm per TrackMan. CB: 63-66 mph.
