The bat has a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. The stance is wide with his feet, front foot open as the ball approaches. The foot closes down and the swing is flat to the ball. The frame needs strength but the path is solid. Uses a 1-handed finish after contact. Solid batting practice session. On the mound, the fastball touched 74 mph. The breaking ball is 65 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is 68 mph, correct in shape. The delivery is online with his feet. The slot is slightly above ¾, and the lift is repeated. The arm path pauses on the backside, and the glove side has major pull to it. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be aligned to the plate.
5-foot-5, 120-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher. Did a good job at the event and has a good feel for the game. On the mound, the fastball touched 73 mph. The spin pitch has a good shape to it, sitting at 68 mph. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery is online, the arm works, short arm swing on the back side. Does a good job controlling the glove side and being on time with his feet. Defensively, threw 74 mph from the outfield with an athletic approach to the ball. Showed himself to be very reliable in the outfield during game play. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 72 mph, physical strength is needed. The set up even, uses a toe tap for timing. There is a small gain of ground to the ball as it comes to him, glides into the swing. The bat path is uphill and he uses a 1-handed finish after contact. With added strength he should be able to get the bottom half under control and shorten the path to contact. Showed very good athleticsm at the event. Ran a 4.65 on his dig to first base during the workout.
