Matthew Taglieri: RHP/SS, (2025) THE ROXBURY LATIN SCHOOL, MA. 185-pound solid projectable frame. Projectable in the box, the hitter clocked an exit velocity of 90 mph. (66.9 mph bat speed average). (23.4 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide crouched stance with a high long load, then used a small stride. Bat speed was quick developing, displayed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Projectable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 82 mph; shows developing consistent feet, developing soft hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing athletically. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a ¾ slot and a quick consistent arm action. Projectable on the mound, showed developing arm speed, he had a quick loose arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with recoil finish. Threw his fastball 81-82 mph; shows running sinking action and control arm side around the zone. (Max spin 1908; Avg 1823). His changeup (72-73) had arm side command and gradual fading action. His slider (69-70) shows slurvey action and glove side around the zone command.
