Kent is a 5-foot-10, 175 pound right-handed hitting outfield prospect with a ton of talent. He hits out of an open, squatty stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a short load to stack the weight over the back side and gets the hands into a strong launch position. As he takes the bat-head through the hitting zone, there is obvious hand-speed. He whips the bat-head through the zone, highlighted by his 94 MPH exit velocity. The swing remains balanced throughout and he gets good extension through contact.
Defensively, Kent showed arm-strength and athleticism during his session from the outfield. He registered a velocity of 90 MPH and showed light feet as he broke down to field.
