5-foot-8, 135 pounds, average athletic build. Adams ran a 8.01 sixty-yard dash. Shows good feel and fluidity in the infield, solid lateral quickness. As he develops, he will learn to work through plays with more pace. Has the glove to stick at second base. The arm works through a crank-like action, throwing from a high ¾ slot. Adams was clocked at 64 MPH from short on throws across the diamond. At the plate, Adams profiles as a slap hitter, looking to connect on line drives to all fields with a compact, level swing. His feet start around shoulder width apart, with a moderate leg kick. He stands mostly even in the box while the hands work up around shoulder level. As a pitcher, Adams has a simple delivery. His hands start at the belt before rising as he progresses in the windup. Will need to work on pitching downhill to get the most out of his fastball, which sat 65-66 MPH. Getting downhill will induce more movement on the pitch moving forward. His curveball is a work in progress. At times, the pitch can get slurvy but at it’s best shows true 11/5 shape.
