6.20.18

5-foot-10, 187-pound, thick, solid, strong athletic frame, advanced frame and strength for his age. The shoulders are rounded, wrists, forearms and hands have above average strength. Top tool is his ability to hit for power, had one of the higher tee exit velocities at the event, was recorded at 92 mph. The swing is powerful, uphill through contact, with the approach being more to the pull side. Lower half is under control, has a no stride approach. Showed to have good power to pull side, could stay through it a bit, keeping barrel in the zone longer. Runs well for his size, clocked at 7.37, with an easy kick on the backside. Defensively arm was clocked at 73 mph, small jab on the bottom part of the arm path, throws from a higher slot. The prep steps were good, is a short strider, could get out front more on release, longer stride would help. The routes and angles were good covering ground, gets around the baseball and stays behind it. Interesting prospect, power guy, baseball jumps off the bat.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.37

Exit Velocity: 93 mph

Arm Velocity: 73 mph

6.28.2017

5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Showed excellent athleticsm and quick twitch movements all over the diamond. In the outfield, the approach is cautious and online. Threw 68 mph from the outfield, as he possesses a left-field arm. Gets off the ball and plays with abandonment in the game. In the game, he swung the bat well, barreling up a bunch of balls off live pitching. Tee exit velocity of 85 mph as he is strong. The path to the ball is in and out of  the strike zone to contact. If he tweaked his path, with his physicality, he would be scary. The feet are even to open to start. He closes down as the ball approaches, whips the barrel through and cuts himself at contact.  Ran a 4.3 down the line on his dig as he can boogy a bit. Interesting prospect.
