3/20/21
6-foot-2, 160-pound, longer, thin, athletic frame, showing plenty of room for added weight gains. A left-handed pitcher, threw the baseball very well at this event. The delivery is smooth and repeats it for the most part. The hands stay at mid-chest, lift is smooth and athletic, gets down the mound under control, landing in line, with a stronger front leg. The separation is on time, arm action is clean working out of a 3/4 slot. Tracks well with lead arm, no spin or pull off. The fastball reached 80 mph, worked it to both sides of the plate, 2-seamer had some bite at the end. Threw a slider at 67 mph, has good hand speed, look for this pitch to climb in the next year. Mixed in a usable changeup at 68-69 mph. Solid projection on this left-hander, someone to watch over the next 2 years.
7/07/20
6-foot-1, 145-pound left-handed pitcher. He pitched an uneventful two innings at the event as he cruised through them. The delivery is online with the feet and the tempo is solid. The arm works free and clean slightly above 3/4 in slot. The lift is repeated and he does a nice job of staying online with the top and bottom half. Showed the ability to throw strikes with feel for all his pitches. The fastball sat 71-73 mph. The spin pitch is a work in progress and the changeup sat 63-65 mph. This guy is a solid follow for the next couple years.
