8/08/19

The 5-foot-10, 150 pound right hander showed a quick arm.  The mechanics are simple, as he stays over the backside well. He works downhill and does a good job of staying on top out of a ¾ slot.  The fastball was 73-75 mph and featured heavy sink.  The breaking pitch has good spin and sat 61-62 mph, needs to add fastball hand speed to the pitch for it to reach its potential.  The change-up is a good looking pitch that ranged 60-68 mph. Fade and action arm side are the next stage for the development of the pitch.  The addition of weight gain and physical strength will aid the process as well.

2/10/19

5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder. Showed well at this event.  The fastball was up to 76 mph with life.  The breaking ball was 62-63 mph with tight spin.  The changeup was 66-68 mph  and showed well.  The arm speed and action were good.  The delivery had good tempo.  He was balanced over the backside and the arm path was good.  The ball had life out of his hand.  Continuing to work on his direction and softening the front side are imperative to making strides on the mound. Tracking the front shoulder to foot strike is a must to pitch to potential.   He’s a guy to follow for sure.

6/26/18

5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting infielder, continues to grow and improve his game. Threw 73 mph across the diamond, the arm works freely. The approach to the ball can be cleaned up through prep steps. The glove is solid, shows soft hands in the field. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 66 mph, as physical strength is warranted to aid the process. The set up is even in base. The direction of the hands at the beginning of the swing need to improve, currently he goes out and around to contact. Much of this cleans itself up as he gets bigger and matures in age. Ran a 4.78 on his dig to first base at the event.

Tee Exit Velocity- 66 mph
INF Velocity- 73 mph

3/11/18

5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Thew 70 mph during the infield portion of the workout. The prep steps through the ball need to continue to develop as he matures. The glove is soft. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 65 mph, the frame needs additional physical strength added to it. The stance is wide in base, and the back elbow is set high to start. The path is long, out and around to contact. The hands drop to initiate the swing, causing the bat to have length to it. Ran a 7.84 sixty at the event, it will improve as he physically matures.

Tee Exit Velocity- 65 mph
INF Velocity- 70 mph
60 Time- 7.84
