Palladino is a 5-foot-10, 183 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A knee slide stacks the weight over the back leg before he whips the bat-head through the hitting zone. Palladino shows quick hands and the ability to use the middle of the field. He recorded a 89 MPH exit velocity during his round, maintaining balance and staying through the ball well.
Defensively, Palladino was 75 MPH on his throws across the field. His footwork is good, as he works to break down into the fielding position. His hands are soft transitioning through the ground ball and creates a direct line to his target. The arm works out of a lower, short slot and he finishes through the play well.
Exit Velocity- 89 mph
INF Velocity- 75 mph
2/12/17
5-foot, 100-pound, right-handed hitting infielder who also pitched at the workout. Only threw fastballs off the mound, which is appropriate for his age. The fastball was 60 mph and threw it for strikes. The delivery needs better direction and alignment of his front side. Pitches out of a ¾ arm slot. In the infield, showed very well with the glove and the footwork. He gets through the ball and is in position to make solid throws based off of his footwork. Threw 62 mph across the diamond. At the plate, has a tee exit velocity of 62 mph. The set up is even with his feet and the hands work clean. There is a small jump at the ball as it approaches, staying in his legs as he matures will be important. Another solid prospect for his age.
