Mullaney has a projectable 5-foot-10, 135 pound frame. The right-handed hitting infielder showed a solid skill-set at this event. Off the tee, he had an exit velocity of 78 mph. The set-up is balanced with the hands in a relaxed position. The load is short, with the weight staying over the middle of the stance. As a result, the bottom half is quiet during the swing. He does show quick hands and a consistent bat-path. He also showed some carry with balls hit the other way.
Defensively, the feet are light and active. He moves well laterally and shows soft hands. The fielding position is balanced, with the glove in a relaxed position, out front. He transitions well through the ground ball, in line with the target. The arm-swing is clean and showed a velocity of 72 mph across the diamond.
Mullaney has a nice skill-set. As he continues to mature, get stronger and develop his skills, he should be a good prospect.
