The 5-foot-7, 145 pound right-handed hitting catcher super talented behind the plate. The arm strength was evident as he threw 82 mph down to second base. The set up is balanced, with the glove in a good position. Watching him during the game, he receives well and is soft blocking. When he throws to second base, the feet slide well under the hips and the glove to hand transfer is good. He’s in line with second base and extends through his throws. We had him at a 1.9-2.0 pop time.At the plate, he had an 84 mph tee exit velocity. The set up is balanced and square. The hands off the back shoulder and create movement with the bat pre-pitch. The load is short and gets him into a good hitting position. The bat path has lift and extends through contact. During the BP he showed the ability to drive the ball gap to gap. He also ran a 4.8 second home to first base. This is one of the best catchers of his class. He moves well behind the plate, receives well and the arm strength is plus.
