6-foot-1, 145-pound right-handed pitcher and left-handed hitting outfielder. He threw 74 mph to the plate during the defensive portion of the workout. He showed a good approach through the ball and worked his feet properly. The bat has an exit velocity of 81 mph. The setup is wide in base and the front foot gains ground as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long to contact and the hands work free and clean. The frame needs to add weight and strength as he matures in age. On the mound, the fastball sat 78-79 mph with arm side run. The spin pitch is a slider, sitting 67-68 mph. The shape is solid at his age. The changeup is a solid pitch for him, sitting 73-74 mph with action to it. The delivery is online and the slot is 3/4. The lift is easy, the tempo solid and the arm works clean. The projection on the mound is very good as the arm is quick and he projects. He is a good young prospect.

Hirsch is a projectable 6-foot-142 pound young prospect. The left-handed hitting outfielder had an exit velocity of 77 mph off the tee. He hits out of a wide, slightly open base, with the hands set high above the back shoulder. He transfers the weight to the back leg with a knee slide. The hands drop into a strong launch position. The bat-head whips through the hitting zone on a direct, flat path to and through the hitting zone. The long limbs create good leverage with his swing and he shows some real juice gap-to-gap.
Defensively, the young outfielder was 74 mph on his throws at this event. The feet move well as he works into a balanced, fundamental fielding position. He breaks down behind the ball, with the glove out in front. As he transitions to throw, the feet create a direct line with the target and the ball exchange is clean. The arm-swing is fluid and he finishes through the play, continuing along the same direct line to the target.
On the mound, Hirsch used a fluid, easy delivery and his long limbs to work down the mound. He stays balanced throughout and his direction is consistent. The arm works out of a long, high slot that generates some late run on a fastball that ranges 72-75 mph. The breaking pitch is a good, tight slider that sits 65-68 mph. He also showed a good change-up that ranged 68-71 mph.
I like the skill-set this young prospect displayed. There is a fluidity to his delivery on the mound, to go along with his arm talent. The swing showed real juice and he’s athletic in the outfield. As he continues to develop his skills and matures physically, he has a change to be special.
