Stocky built right-handed hitting catcher who shows promise after seeing him workout during the event. The hands have strength to them at the dish, tee exit velocity of 81 mph. Sets up with even feet and is in control of his feet as he swings. The hands drop a little as he initiates the swing, making the path long and strong. The barrel is flat through the zone as well, just needs a little better direction to it. Ran a 4.91 down the line on a dig to first. Behind the plate, has a pop time of 2.29 and threw 64 mph down to second on his throws. The arm strength will improve as will the footwork with practice and long tossing. The receiving is soft, needs to secure the catch better, but with work he could clean all that up easily. Jumped out to first as well, solid at the bag and handles the position.
