Left-handed hitting infielder who could play all three positions in the infield but best suited for third base, in my opinion. Showed a solid glove, good feet and the ability to make all the throws, threw 76 mph across the diamond. Needs to work on getting off the ball and reading swings, and then he can be a plus defender. Ran a 4.38 down the line on his dig to first base. At the plate, had a tee exit velocity of 91 mph. The potential for plus power is there. Sets up with even, turned in feet, and relaxes hands. The barrel has a good clean path to it, with a slight lift in the barrel. There is a slight dive with his front foot into the plate, causing him to cut himself off. With some adjustment of the feet, the bat would have serious potential.
2/20/16
5-foot-11, 200-pound, strong athletic frame, hands and wrists are very strong. He is a left-handed hitting infielder. The stance is even, stride is under control and balanced throughout the swing. The hands are set just under shoulder height, the path is level with whip out front and he finishes it with a two hands. Drove the ball to all fields with little effort, the tee exit velocity was 92 mph, has serious life in his hands. Defensively, he shows proper prep steps, using his legs well, fields ball out front and has soft hands with easy effort. The hands and feet work well together. Clocked at 75 mph, quick arm with good carry and flight to his ball. Played both sides of the ball well, came through backhands and started the double play feeds well. Projects for me a serious left-handed hitting third baseman, get out and see.
9/27/15
Left-handed hitting middle infielder who had an impressive workout at the event. The swing and hands have life to them, the swing is uphill a tick but he leans on the ball to the pull side of the field. Starts slightly open with his feet and glides to the ball as it approaches. Tee exit velocity of 84. In the field, showed a well above average glove and short throwing motion, throwing 73 across the diamond. The footwork and approach to the ball were proper and he got off the ball well. Ran a 4.38 down the line and shows good foot speed. Good looking prospect.
