Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-10, 173-pound, average athletic frame, shoulders are squared off, back is wide, has room for added weight. A two-way player, this left-hander off the mound has a smooth repeatable delivery. The hands start and stay high, leg kick is athletic quick tempoed. Looks to stay over the rubber, builds momentum down the mound, gets good extension out front on release. The arm action is bottom to top, working out of a high ¾ slot. The fastball touched 79 mph, locating it well to glove side, stays true out of the hand. The breaking ball reached 64 mph, with slurve break to it, continued fastball hand speed is need, has the makings of a quality pitch. The changeup was clocked between 71-72 mph, with fade action. At the plate, has a spread out approach, feet are even, hands are relaxed at the shoulders. For timing small pick up and put down with stride foot. The swing path is level, spraying line drives from gap to gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph and ran a 7.87 sixty-yard dash. From the outfield threw, 78 mph, clean prep steps into the transfer, steps through and gains ground towards target. Throws were downhill and were accurate. Velocity should climb with feel for the secondary pitches, interesting prospect.

5-foot-9, 160-pound left-handed pitcher. One of my favorites guys, as the arm works clean and the athleticsm is good throughout the delivery. The fastball touched 80 mph, much more in the tank as he matures in age. The spin pitch has the correct shape, same hand speed is needed as his fastball, sits at 67 mph. The changeup has the right spin and shape, sitting at 72 mph. Depth needs to be added to the pitch as he advances through levels. The delivery is online, the slot is above ¾ and clean. There is a small amount of forward lean as he makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder is improved and he handles the glove side with care. Maintains good posture throughout.

5-foot-8, 160-pound left-handed pitcher and left-handed hitting outfielder. Did a good job in both spots but thought his feel on the mound was advanced. The fastball touched 80 mph with good arm side action to it. The spin pitch is excellent in shape, sits at 68 mph. The changeup is trending appropriately, sat at 72 mph. Threw strikes and showed the ability to repeat his delivery. The slot is ¾ and he does a good job of staying with his arm throughout the delivery. The glove is posted inside his frame and the extension at his age is excellent. Uses a small coil at the top of the lift and the tracking can improve as he matures but his feel and raw ability is above average. Defensively, threw 75 mph from the outfield out of an athletic approach. Can play both corner outfield positions. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 71 mph, needs to get physically stronger. Did have 2 hits in game play. The stance is wide with his feet and does not get any hand separation as the swing is initiated. The path is flat and he cuts off his finish after contact, needs to work all the way through the ball. Ran a 4.72 down the line on his dig to first base. Excellent prospect on the mound.
