7/16/19

6-foot-1, 215-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Much improved from the last time we saw him. Ran a 7.5 sixty at the event. The glove is very good around the bag and he moves athletically. Threw 76 mph across the diamond from first to third. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 90 mph. The setup wide in base, uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is short and clean, makes a concerted effort to stay inside the ball. On the mound , the fastball sat 76-78 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 65-67 mph, good in shape. The changeup is 71-72 mph, needs a spin fix. The delivery is online with the feet and 3/4 in slot. The lift is repeated, coil and back turn at the top. The tracking is rotational as he spin through the pitch. The arm works clean a free.

6-foot, 215-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Showed solid footwork around the bag at first. Threw 72 mph across the diamond out of a high ¾ slot. Big target at first base, should be easy to throw to. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 76 mph. The setup is wide with his feet, and the hands maneuver the bat well. Very limited bottom half action as he uses his hands for the most part in the swing. On the mound, the fastball touched 74 mph. The spin pitch is 69-72, slider is action. The changeup is 70 mph, spins correctly. Pitches out of a plus ¾ slot and the lift is repeated. The head moves as he makes his way into footstrike. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be incorporated.
