At the plate, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 MPH with a (62.4 mph bat speed average) and (21.8 mph hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, wide stance with a controlled load. He then uses a controlled stride to start a slightly uphill swing with good extension. During his rounds, Marino displayed good hands, the ability to use the entire field and good balance. In the infield, Marino was 72 MPH on his throws across the diamond, while showing consistent, smooth feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. On the mound, Marino uses a long, over-the-top arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 73-74 MPH(Max spin 1676; Avg 1538) with some arm side run. The delivery is easy. He gets to a good position at the top but the shoulders begin to drift toward third base as he heads down the mound. He lands slightly open and finishes through each pitch.
