1/31/21

5-foot-10, 170-pound, average athletic frame. Rounded shoulders, wiry strength, with room for added weight gains. A left-handed hitting third baseman, swung the bat well at this event, balanced setup and approach. The hands are loose at the shoulders, for timing, shifts weight back, hitting against a firm front sides, stays on it, approach is more middle to pull side. The swing is down to level to up, finishing with two hands at shoulder height. The exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, baseball jumped off the back, showing minimal effort, baseball explodes. A quick runner, ran a 4.31 down the line on a dig. Defensively, soft glove, moves well to glove side, feet are active, move throughout towards target. The arm action is short, working from a 3/4 slot, clocked at 76 mph, all throws on target. Small jab on finish. Off the mound, fastball was up to 78 mph. Working from the set position, slow deliberate delivery, hands start low work up with smooth leg raise. Glides and rides out back leg, inline direction. The arm action is clean, pounded the zone with all three. The breaking ball was clocked at 64 mph and had feel for a changeup at 72 mph. A strike thrower, interesting prospects, brings a ton of value.

7/08/20

5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitting infielder. Ran a 8.0 sixty at the event. The feet need to remain active during the fielding process as the glove is soft and the hands work. He threw 75 mph across the diamond. The foot speed is going to have tom improve or he will have to kick over to first base. The bat has an exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot is picked up and put down as the swing is initiated. The hands work freely to the ball. The path is long to contact.

1/26/20

5-foot-165-pound, average athletic frame, longer neck, wider back, with squared off broad shoulders. A two-way player, a left-handed hitter, feet are even at shoulder width, hands are even at the shoulders, with an extended back elbow. The swing is level through the zone, stays on it, and finishes above the shoulders. The approach is field to field, took a solid round of batting practice, spraying the baseball all over. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph, ball jumps off the bat. Ran a 4.34 from home to 1st. Defensively, threw and easy 75 mph across the diamond, arm action is super clean and easy.  The hands are soft, fields out front, moves well to both sides, good rhythm and flow. The starts and turns were performed correctly. Off the mound, slower deliberate delivery, working from the set position. The lead leg lands slightly across the frame, with some early tuck with glove side, could stay more direct longer. The arm action is whippy from a 3/4 slot, showing good hand speed from the side view. The fastball was clocked at 76 mph, located to both sides town in the zone. The breaking ball shows to be a plus offering, spin is tight, with proper shape and tilt to it, clocked at 65-66 mph. Threw a knuckleball as well, chance to be a plus pitch at some point, dancing and darting late. Love the feel he has for the game, time will tell which way he will go.

9/28/19

The 5-foot-10, 165 pound left-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. The stance is wide and balanced. The load is a simple take back of the hands and shifting of the weight to the back leg. The swing path is direct to and through contact. This is a very simple swing that showed consistent kind drive capability. He also ran 4.8 second home to first at the event. In the infield, he is active pre pitch. The feet are moving and he gets into a good ready position. Once the ball is hit, the actions are fluid to the baseball. He breaks down into a good fielding position. The glove is relaxed and in a good position. He also showed the ability to move laterally and get good angles. The transition to the throwing position is good and he was 73 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he works primarily out of the stretch. As he comes set he closes off and the glove comes to the midline. As he makes his way down the mound he falls hard to the first base side, causing some misses high to the arm side. The fastball was 73-76 mph and stays in line. The breaking pitch was 66-69 mph and was under it a bit. He also featured a knuckleball at 68 mph that had good movement.
