Attended Columbia University Fall Camp. The fastball was 86-88 and the breaking ball touched 76 mph. Big jump this past summer/fall.

Left-handed pitcher, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds and still growing. The frame is thin railed and the body needs strength. The delivery comes at you out of an methodical tempo. The arm slot is slightly higher than ¾, the lift is repeated and his feet alignment is fine. The fastball was 79-80 mph, as we him seen him slightly better this summer. Needs to accelerate his arm in the game as I thought he was guided the ball a bit at times. The breaking ball is soft, 63-64 mph and will have to be changed as he matures in order to get outs. The changeup is a work in progress. Left-handed and the arm is clean, needs to get physically stronger and gain confidence. Great student.
7/26/16 Projectable left-handed arm who we are seeing for the second time this summer. The delivery had a better tempo to it this time around, he was in his delivery more efficiently as well. The arm is clean on the backside and he pitches out of a ¾ arm slot. There is a slight pull of the glove side but he is making an attempt to minimize it. Fastball has a good plane to it, sitting 80-82 mph. The breaking ball has the makings of the right shape to it, still too big, sitting 66-68 mph. The changeup has the makings of being very good, sitting 71-72 mph. Good looking Division 1 prospect on the mound.
6/28/16 Projectable left-handed pitcher who shows above average stuff with a ways to go for controlling his delivery and commanding the ball. The fastball touched 83 mph, with true left-handed action to it. The breaking ball has a serious chance to be an out pitch, was 72 mph and he showed a changeup at 74 mph. The delivery has a great deal of action to it, pitches from a long arm swing on the backside with high coil at the top of his lift. The tracking of the shoulders to foot strike is poor causing him to pull the front side off target, raising his slot inconsistently. Stuff wise, he is a higher level arm, but mechanical adjustments are going to have to be made for him to get control of the ball. Love the projectability though.
