Chris Walsh: SS/OF, (2023) Duxbury, MA. 5-foot-11, 175-pound lean athletic build. Above average projectable during batting practice, Walsh had an exit velocity of 89 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average quick, had an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Above average while in the infield, showed throws up to 84 mph; has a clean natural exchange, athletic fluid feet, and next level soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.7. Turned in an excellent week, as he is an above average defender with strength in the bat.
