5-foot-11, 170-pound, average athletic frame, with room for added weight. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, shows to have some twitchiness to him. At the plate, has some pre-pitch movement to him. Loose higher hands, with a high back elbow, using a higher leg kick for timing, gaining ground with stride foot. The swing is level, keeps hands inside the baseball, driving the baseball from field to field. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph and ran a 7.53 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, gets behind the baseball, solid base when fielding, loose, whippy arm action, working from a higher slot. The arm was clocked at 82 mph. Projects out to be able to stick in the middle of the field for me. Good looking 2022 prospect.

Walsh had an athletic, projectable 5-foot-11, 170 pound frame. The right-handed hitting infielder is athletic on both sides of the ball. The bat has juice to all fields and the hand-speed is noticeable. At this event, he showed those quick hands, with an exit velocity of 92 mph off the tee. The stance is square, with the hands relaxed off the back shoulder. The load begins with a controlled leg kick, that gets the weight to the back leg. The swing takes a direct, flat path to and through the hitting zone. His finish stayed on plane and showed juice gap to gap.
Defensively, he was 79 mph across the diamond. The feet are light and he glides as he moves to get into the fielding position. The glove is relaxed out front and shows soft hands transitioning through the ground ball. As he works to get into the throwing position, the feet, hips and shoulder create a good line with the target. He works his feet though the play and showcases a quick arm.
Walsh is a talented young prospect! He is athletic on both sides of the ball and the skill-set is fundamentally sound.
