6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitting corner infielder. I thought he showed well and the skill set is trending upwards. Ran a 7.87 sixty at the event. The approach in infield is clean and he moves athletically. He threw 73 mph across the diamond and is definitely a reliable defender. The bat has life, the setup is wide and he dives into the plate as the swing is produced,. The hands work clean to the ball and show power potential. Good looking player to keep an eye on as he progresses in age and maturation.
INF Velocity - 73 mph

Kirkpatrick is a physical 6-foot-3, 190 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder showed that strength early off the tee. He recorded an exit velocity of 82 mph. His set-up is balanced with the hands in a relaxed position. The load is quiet and allows him to get into a strong hitting position. As the bat begins to get on the plane, there is a controlled aggression. He showed the ability to drive the ball, especially to the pull side.
Defensively, his feet are active pre-pitch. Once the ball is hit, he moves well to get into a balanced fielding position. The glove is behind the ball and relaxed. As he transitions through the play, he gets into a good throwing position. The arm-swing is clean and he was 70 mph across the diamond at this event.
This is a strong, talented young prospect. He’s a guy to keep on your radar this spring.
