6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher. Showed very well at the event. The fastball was up to 89 mph, heavy and downhill to the plate. The spin pitch is a breaking ball, sitting 73-75 mph. The spin is good and breaks late to the hitter. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery is online with the feet, above ¾ in slot. The tracking is done very well, and the posture is upright throughout the delivery. The glove has minimal pull and he stays behind the ball throughout. Good looking prospect who should garner some pro attention in the coming years. .
9/25/16 Behind the plate, showed very well. Pop time of 1.98 as the throwing path is simple and on time. The transfer can still be cleaned up and the feet can improve. Threw 72 mph from behind the dish. The receiving can still improve and soften with reps on a machine and in the bullpen. The swing has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. Starts with wide base setup, and high back elbow. The path to the ball is appropriate, very strong with his hands. Does cut himself off after contact, needs to stay strong through the ball. Ran a 4.9 down the line on his dig. Jumped on the mound for us for an inning. The fastball has sink and life to it, sitting 75-76. Showed a slurvy spin pitch at 65 and we didn't see a changeup . The delivery consists of a long ¾ arm path and a clean arm. The direction to the plate needs to improve but there is deception in the delivery.
