Anthony LaPierre: RHP, (2024) Milford, MA. 6-foot-6, 205-pound projectable athletic frame. Projectable on the mound, used a consistent arm action with a ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 85-86 mph; had running action and command arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2334; Avg 2252). Has arm side command and gradual fading action on his changeup (67-70). He had deceiving action on his splitter (75-76).
Lapierre is a young 6-foot-2, 170 pound right-handed pitching prospect. He uses a simple delivery to get into a good balance point. He separates well at the top and uses a long, over-the-top slot on a fastball that sits 69-70 MPH. The pitch is on a downward plane, with some arm-side run. He lowers his arm slot with the breaking ball, which sits 54-55 MPH, giving the pitch a more sweeping spin. The change-up was 61-62 MPH with good action.
