Kennedy is an athletic and versatile 5-foot-9, 147 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting outfielder/infielder had an exit velocity of 81 mph off the tee. He hits out of a wide, athletic base, with his hands in a good position. The load is quiet, allowing him to utilize his hands during the swing. The bat-path is on a direct, flat path to and through the hitting zone and he continues on plane well after contact. His swing is simple, direct and produces a lot of hard contact gap to gap.
In the outfield, his athleticism is evident. The feet glide, as he moves to get into position to field. The glove is relaxed out front and he showed a fluid arm-swing. During this event he was 77 mph on his throws. He finishes well through his throws, in a good line with the target.
In the infield, he was 78 mph across the diamond. He again showed his athleticism. The feet move well and he glides laterally. His fielding position is balanced and he breaks down behind the ball. His hands are soft as he transitions from fielding to the throwing position. He creates a good angle to the target and he continues through the play, showing that quick arm-swing.
I like his versatility and his athleticism! He can play both positions at the next level and his bat is a plus tool.

There is quickness to the arm so expect good velocity as he develops. Good tempo and pace to the delivery, small coil at the top of the lift and solid direction as he gets into foot strike. Excellent prospect and follow.
