The uncommitted junior right-hander delivered a brilliant performance for the Wildcats last Tuesday, in a big district matchup with Dutchtown. An easy mover down the slope with a repeatable delivery and a loose arm stroke; Griffin did a really good job of landing his 80-81 mph FB to both sides of the plate, against RHH's & LHH's, and did it with little effort. His 70-74 mph showed good shape and had good bite down in the zone and his 75-77 mph CH was a solid third offering. Griffin ended up tossing 6 shutout IP giving up only 3 H with 1 BB and 6 K's. The 6'1" 150 lbs. lean and wiry frame projects for more strength as he'll be turning 17 years old in a few weeks, which makes him younger for his class.
